# SOLARSUMMIT

A day dedicated to solar energy in New Aquitaine

Co-organized with our partner LA TRIBUNEthis one-day event brought together regional and national experts to discuss the conditions for accelerating the photovoltaic industry.

In the heart of France’s leading solar region, this unique event addressed the links between solar energy and agriculture in the wake of the publication of the decree on agrivoltaics, and raised issues of geopolitics, land sharing in both town and country, as well as an initial assessment of the law to accelerate renewable energies, one year after its publication .

The speakers

The Mayor of Bordeaux, Pierre Hurmic, will inaugurate the event, before giving the floor to personalities such as Xavier DAVAL, Vice-Chairman of the Syndicat des énergies renouvelables, Carole DESCROIX, CEO & Founder of Terapolis, Pierre-Emmanuel MARTIN, Chairman of CARBON, Jean-Paul RIQUET Regional Director New Aquitaine, TotalEnergies, Morgane BENARDEnercoop Nouvelle-Aquitaine, Pierre LEVI, director of Energy Transition at Bordeaux Métropole Énergies and Véronique LAJOIE, Director of Development at SNCF Renouvelables.

The program

  • The challenges of solar energy on a national scale in the context of the French energy planning law
  • The geopolitics of solar energy, the inevitable Chinese dependency?
  • Renewable Energies Acceleration Act: one year on, where do we stand?
  • Agrivoltaics: can agriculture and photovoltaic power generation be reconciled?
  • What is the relevance of solar thermal energy? What are the limits? what uses?
  • Solar power plants: sharing the land, sharing the value

“Our ability to accelerate our production of solar energy within territories in the coming years will be decisive for the success of the energy transition. But while the French government is committed to supporting the photovoltaic industry, with a target of 100 GW of solar production by 2050, there are still many obstacles to be overcome before public and private players can move effectively in the same direction. We look forward to seeing you at the Bordeaux Solar Summit, where we’ll be exchanging ideas and building the future of photovoltaics in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region.
